3 New Year’s Celebrations In The Tampa Bay Area

As we get ready to wrap up the holidays and remember what a great year it’s been in 2017 for Tampa Bay real estate, there’s one more activity we can’t forget. And that’s how we also get to look forward to a number of excellent options for ringing in the New Year.

In fact, over the years, many trendy and exciting New Year’s events have popped up in our area. And because we’re lucky enough to have miles of waterfront in Pinellas and Hillsborough, including dozens of piers, beaches, and parks, we also have world-famous attractions that provide fun New Year’s Eve activities for locals and visitors alike.

So, whether you’re a first time homeowner in Tampa Bay or you’ve been living in the area for decades, either of these 3 celebrations should be a great way to celebrate your city:

Light Up Tampa Bay

Usually held on the Channelside waterfront, this year’s fireworks display in Downtown Tampa is changing venues. Making Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park its temporary home, the event will be located behind the Amelie Arena due to ongoing construction. The event starts at 10pm and boasts one of the biggest fireworks displays in the state. It’s free and open to the public, but alcohol is prohibited. Light It Up – Clearwater Beach

If you’re looking to play in the sand and dip your toes in the Gulf of Mexico this New Year’s Eve, I have just the thing for you. There’s a giant fireworks display every year that stretches across the entire length of Clearwater Beach. That’s right, the entire beach

The event is free and open to the public, but also consider many of the private parties hosted by hotels and restaurants all along the beach. Many of these feature viewing decks, such as Shephard’s or the Wyndham Grand Hotel. For a truly unique and more adult experience, the Florida Aquarium is offering a 21+ event for grown-ups. For those of you who want to enjoy all of the exhibits at the aquarium plus complimentary food, drinks, live music and a champagne toast at midnight, this one is for you. With great access to the Tampa Bay waterfront, it’s a perfect place to watch the fireworks as well. Tickets start at $110 and you can find more info at https://www.flaquarium.org/aquaeve
